Transition Town Rhayader and District, in partnership with Rhayader  2000
and the Cambrian Mountains Initiative, are hosting a free  Renewable Energy
and Energy Efficiency event on Saturday 24th March  at the Old School,
Cwmdauddwr between 10am and 1pm, including lunch.

Renewable Heat Premium Payment scheme

The Department of Energy ansolar-water-heatingd Climate Change (DECC) has launched the Renewable Heat Premium Payment for the domestic sector.

Available now, but funds are limited - don't delay!

From 1st August 2011, up to £1,250 funding will be available to householders to help towards the cost of installing renewable heating systems.

Up to 25,000 installations will be funded under the scheme which will be available on a first come first serve basis.

Household Energy Survey Project

surveyAre you interested in cutting your energy bills and reducing your carbon footprint, but don't know where to start?  This summer, help is at hand with our new project.

Thanks to funding from Environment Wales' Climate Change Next Steps Fund, the Llandrindod transition group will be working with Household Energy Services (HES) of Bishop's Castle to conduct a number of detailed household carbon footprint surveys.
