Co-operative Members are invited to a day focused on local food: growing, gathering and sharing.
Come and join us for a day learning about local food projects
on Saturday 28th April 2012, from 10:30am to 4:30pm at Y Plas, Machynlleth, Powys, SY20 8ER
● Find how a local community raised money for a produce market in Ceredigion
● Bring a gardening or small holding question for the experts: “Get up & Grow” question time
● Enjoy a low carbon lunch
● Hear about children becoming enthusiastic young cooks
● Share the pleasure of cooking through practical sessions with Blaenau Gwent’s Appetite for Life programme
● The event is aimed at anyone with an interest in local and sustainable food production: the afternoon sessions are also suitable for parents and children
The outline of the day is divided into the production of food in the morning and preparing it in the afternoon.
