Saturday 13th March starting 10:30am on Zoom

Topic: Focus for a Circular Economy - Could dedicated spaces help?

A Circular Economy values all our resources, keeps what we have in use in our daily lives, designs out waste and pollution and regenerates the natural systems around us.

Discussing how physical spaces (including the new Centre) might contribute to its development. As well as base for practical activities, perhaps somewhere for exchanging ideas and developing a vision together? With that time of year approaching, this Green Coffee could be the finale to the Equinox to Equinox challenge to bring the ideas into our own lives and, with these things, the community?

The Zoom session with run from 10:30am to approx 12:00.

Saturday 13th February starting 10:30am

Topic: THRIFT - Making Ends Meet

THRIFT will be our opening theme - what does it mean to us personally, can it be reimagined for the 21st century? Let's chat about how we could  live better on less as we come out of Lockdown.  What tips can we share about  our food, travel and heating which make our footprint lighter and hearts happier?  We have been chatting about the circular economy, let's see how it can make ends meet!

'Thrift' seems an old-fashioned word these days, more familiar to our grandparent's generation, but perhaps its time has come again when, for the sake of the planet, we need to be thinking clearly about how to 'make ends meet'. It seems to sum up in an everyday way the rather abstract-sounding idea of the Circular Economy, which is increasingly penetrating wider discourse and even policy-making.

The Circular Economy - valuing what we have and doing things better?

We will be restarting on Saturday 12th December from 10:30am to 12/12:30pm at the Herb Garden Café (socially distanced) and via Zoom.

A Circular Economy values all our resources, keeps what we have in use in our daily lives, designs out waste and pollution and regenerates the natural systems around us.

The Equinox to Equinox Challenge: Can we be inspired by the seasons to learn and share how to take our own small steps towards a personal circular economy?

Conversation may move on to any other relevant topic according to the participants, so grab yourself a coffee (and cake) either from the Herb Garden or your kitchen and sit in!

Green Coffee and Chat continues on the second Saturday of the month.
